The breakdown may vary starkly from person to person. But every day we have X amount of time that is truly for ourselves.
All we have to do, is decide what to do with the time that is given us. - Gandalf
Some people spend it doing what they love. Some people work diligently at their master plan in order to escape the rat race. But most of us waste it. Most of us are trapped in compulsive and unhealthy habits, distracting ourselves from our deepest emotions and biggest problems in life.
For me and many others this is through mindless online content consumption. It's not because we want to. It's because our brains have been hijacked by algorithms.
Our time and attention is precious. I may not yet precisely know how I will spend the time given to me. But I do know it will no longer involve content served by algorithms designed to turn me into a mindless zombie.
I hope you wish me luck in my endeavor to break free from my bad habits and I boldly invite you to do the same.
